South Park: The Fractured But Whole is bringing some crude RPG humor to Xbox One, PS4 and PC

South Park: The Fractured But Whole follows the exploits of Coon and Friends as they battle against the nefarious Butte--, Professor Chaos in a battle to save South Park.

Ubisoft revealed the game at their E3 2015 conference:

From the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, comes South Park: The Fractured but Whole, a sequel to 2014's award-winning South Park: The Stick of Truth. Players will once again assume the role of the New Kid, and join South Park favorites Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman in a new hilarious and outrageous RPG adventure.

Players will delve into the crime-ridden underbelly of South Park with Coon and Friends. This dedicated group of crime fighters was formed by Eric Cartman whose superhero alter-ego, The Coon, is half man, half raccoon. As the New Kid, players will join Mysterion, Toolshed, Human Kite, Mosquito, Mint Berry Crunch and a host of others to battle the forces of evil while Coon strives to make his team the most beloved superheroes in history.

South Park: The Stick of Truth was a surprisingly high quality take on the turn based RPG genre, complete with South Park's signature humor. South Park studio heads Matt Stone and Trey Parker famously said they'd never work on another game citing the difficulty of shipping The Stick of Truth, seems that Ubisoft changed their minds. I'm glad Matt Stone and Trey Parker have decided to give the whole video game thing another bash.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole is currently in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

  • Loved the first game. This one will be in my collection.
  • ^
  • I can't wait to fracture my butthole.
  • *but whole
  • That's what you think.
  • Cant wait
  • The very first south park game was great, I dont know if they can recapture the moment.
  • The very first? You sure about that?
  • I see you still acknowledge that there actually WERE games before Stick of Truth ;) Let's just say, the first game where Matt and Trey were initimately involved in all aspects of the game.
  • I want NBA street back!
  • That would be so dope. It's crazy to think how long it's been since the last NBA Street release. EA needs to try it because it doesn't seem like they're saving NBA Live any time soon.
  • I was wanting to see the first one on Xbox One. But this is better.
  • Backwards compatibility :D
  • What kinda genre is RPG? I have stick of truth on my pc but never bothered to play it
  • Role-Playing Game. It's basically questing within questing and some other cool additions in every different franchise Examples are Final Fantasy, Earthbound, etc.
  • Should be great like the lat game. Good fun.
  • Mint Berry Crunnnch!
  • Hopefully they touch on Kenny's back story a bit more, seeing how they revealed the stuff with his parents in the Coon and Friends story line
  • I really enjoyed the first one even though it was too easy. Hopefully they make this one more challenging. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
