Today, IGN showcased some new multiplayer footage from State of Decay 2. The footage features four-player co-op and loads of zombie-slaying action. Not only does the title look graphically superior to State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition, but it also runs a lot smoother.
State of Decay 2 should launch on May 22, 2018 for Xbox One and Windows 10 as an Xbox Play Anywhere experience. According to Microsoft, the game will also be available at launch on Xbox Game Pass. The company confirmed a price point of $29.99 for the standard version and $49.99 for the Ultimate Edition.
The Ultimate Edition of the game gives you early access to State of Decay 2 and a free Xbox One copy of State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition. It also contains the Daybreak and Independence Packs which feature a lot of items to help you stay alive.
State of Decay 2 is a co-op multiplayer game which forces you to survive in the wake of a zombie apocalypse. Players have to work together, build bases, and form communities if they wish to survive in this hostile land. The first game — despite the fact that it suffered from numerous performance issues — garnered a significant following. Hopefully the game will be a polished experience when it launches in a few months.

Nice price point.
it would be cool if you weren't allowed to shoot allies... there could be penalties for those that do shoot allies and it should also change the story of the game.... Now that would be AWESOME!!!!
I've just seen a video on this and they've stated friendly fire is turned off. But if you forward to 17:15 on this video... You'll definitely see that friendly fire is on. Please have an option to turn this feature on and off upon release
