Frostpunk is a city-building, survival, and strategy game that's quite popular on PC. In a frozen world, people develop steam-powered machines to oppose the overwhelming cold. You, the city ruler, have to manage both the inhabitants and the infrastructure. Leaders face numerous challenges, frequently questioning morality and the basic foundation of what we consider as a society.
According to the developer, in order to succeed, you have to focus on optimization and resource management, even if they clash with empathy and thoughtful decision-making. Luckily, there's also a fair bit of exploration because you have to venture outside the city walls to find resources and other items.
A few days ago, developer 11 bit studios announced that Frostpunk was coming to Xbox One and other platforms. Today, the team revealed a season pass for PC which gives you access to expansions and so much more. The Rifts debuts today with the season pass, and add a new Endless Mode map. You can either purchase the expansion for $24.50 or $5 for the standalone content.
Later this year, another expansion called The Last Autumn is coming to the game, followed by Project TVADGYCGJR in 2020. The Last Autumn adds a brand-new scenario while Project TVADGYCGJR could be anything.
