Xbox brings 16 backward compatible games to Xbox Cloud Gaming like Fallout: New Vegas, Fable II, and more

  • The backward compatibility team at Xbox is the best in the world at what they do, and now they're expanding again.
  • Starting today, 16 classic backward compatible games are coming to Xbox Cloud Gaming (Project xCloud) on Android devices.
  • You can stream all 16 of these original Xbox and Xbox 360 games to your phone right now, and some even feature touch controls.
  • There are some great games here, including Fallout: New Vegas, Fable II, Gears of War 2, the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and more.

The Xbox backward compatibility team has showed no signs of slowing down in recent months, and continues to expand the program in new and meaningful ways. Earlier this month, FPS Boost began to double or even quadruple the framerates of select backward compatible titles on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Today, Xbox is bringing 16 backward compatible games to Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Starting today, the Xbox backward compatible team is bringing their vast catalog of original Xbox and Xbox 360 games on Xbox Game Pass to Xbox Cloud Gaming, formerly known as Project xCloud. This means you'll be able to play a selection of classic games straight from your phone! The icing on the cake is that a few of the initial 16 games already support touch controls through Xbox Cloud Gaming on Android.

The full list of backward compatible games heading to Xbox Cloud Gaming on Android (and future platforms) include:

  • Banjo-Kazooie
  • Banjo-Tooie
  • Double Dragon Neon
  • Fable II
  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • Gears of War 2
  • Gears of War 3
  • Gears of War: Judgment
  • Jetpac Refuelled (touch controls enabled)
  • Kameo
  • Perfect Dark
  • Perfect Dark Zero
  • The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • Viva Piñata (touch controls enabled)
  • Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise (touch controls enabled)
