Xbox One beats PlayStation 4 in U.S., U.K. November sales

Record sales of Microsoft's Xbox One have finally allowed the console to overtake Sony's PlayStation 4 in both the U.S. and the U.K. for the month of November. This is the first time that the Xbox One has outsold its competitor since the system was launched, with Microsoft reporting that it has sold 1.2 million consoles in the U.S. alone.
"Response to the holiday lineup of games on Xbox One was incredible, with Xbox One fans buying more games in November in the U.S. than any other gen eight platform and enjoying over 357 million hours of gameplay globally. In fact, more fans logged into Xbox Live across Xbox One and Xbox 360, and enjoyed more entertainment, than any other month in the history of Xbox. We love to see the excitement from our fans and are grateful for their passion, support and contributions to the Xbox community."
Xbox One's boost in sales were likely bolstered by holiday discounts along with special bundle pricing.

You're welcome!
-
Now if they'd stop being stupid and put the Media Center client on it, I could get rid of the 360 and buy another One.
-
As much as I loved media center it's a dead product at this point. I suspect it won't even make it into Windows 10. Doesn't make sense for Microsoft to support it anymore.
-
It has the DLNA media player app, it finds all my movies on my PC..... It's the same way I watch movies from my network on a bluray player
-
Better yet, just right click a file on PC, tablet, what ever on the same network and choose "Play to X1"...
-
Media center is gone, it's time to let it go. I understand people are resistant to change, but just suck it up and go for it already.
-
I already have Teri Xbox Ones. A standard black edition and an advanced warfare edition. I'm thinking about a adding a third in my bedroom for the television features alone, but of course I'll be gaming on it as well.
-
My wife worked on the extender software at Microsoft and it is definitely dead. It's still the best option out there to DVR OTA television for free and it was an awful decision to end support for it in my opinion. Now I run my 360 into the One's passthrough and have the 360 auto launch media center. Works well enough but I'd love to get rid of the extra box.
-
You also have Plex in addition to the DLNA player
-
I helped, and I'm enjoying it.
-
Awesome
-
Not surprising. Xbox always outsold PS during holidays.
-
Except for the 2013 holiday season.
-
No. PS4 won November 2013 because it was released 2 weeks before XB1. Then XB1 won December.
-
Plus Sony was hacked and almost destroyed.
-
Yeah that hack thing as well....but also psx failed I feel...inspite of offering free games!
-
Sony Pictures was hacked. It's a separate company within the Sony Corporation ;) Still, it sucked but I can't help finding it amusing IF North Korea had anything to do with it lol
-
At least I was able to watch Fury now. I bet some were only interested in Annie!
-
I haven't watched any of the hacked movies, but why do you day most only wanted to watch Annie? Can you elaborate on that observation???
-
While what you stated was a complete fact, there is another fact. Consumers, as a whole, aren't really the brightest group. People hear Sony got hacked and that's it. I know people that unpolugged their Playstation after hearing that. No one seems to read beyond the headline anymore, they just react stupidly.
-
If these discounts wouldn't result in higher sales than PS, Microsoft would have been truly screwed. Posted via the Windows Phone Central App for Android
-
While the discounts helped, it's only $50 dollars less than the PS4 price of $399 which I'm afraid talk isn't enough to make any true fan of Sony choose the Xbox one over the PlayStation even with a bundled game. Remember the price came down in part because the Kinect was removed, the one is now being sold in more countries which wasn't the case initially, and because of holiday bundles. True fans of either console are going to stick to what they like unless the other is miles ahead of their console of choice, not because of $50 or a bundle.
-
Of course its not suprising, they drastically dropped the price and were giving out free games with it, this has nothing to do that people all of a sudden think the X1 is better.
-
Maybe not, but certainly better value. And X1 have got quite a pack of updates throughout the year. Many "after a year" review have correctly pointed out that PS4 is fast losing on updates and software. W10 for X1 with Dx12 and open app store will sure help X1 even more.
-
I'm sure it has something to do with the recent price drop and black Friday deals... ☺
-
Don't know why every one keeps forgetting the Halo collection. My friend almost caved and bought an XBone for that one thing. He came back to the light though.
-
The 'light'? The Xbox One is an amazing machine with a great, unified entertainment experience.
-
I'm more interested in the Alienware Alpha now, honestly. I have two Xbox Ones, but the ideas of a Windows 8 PC with a console front end is pretty compelling. I'm tired of losing access to most of my games each generation. PC gaming solves that. Decades of backwards compatibility!
-
It's all cool until you start playing FPS with a controller on a PC server.....
-
Good point. Irrelevant to me as I play FPS for campaign and co-op, but I can see how this would be relevant for some. I still have my Xbox Ones as well, if I do decide to party some multiplayer FPS. :-)
-
Losing access to your games? You know your older consoles still work right?
-
Do they? Can I play MechAssault multiplayer on my OG Xbox anymore? Nope, Microsoft turned off those servers. And older hardware does break down, my Jaguar CD add-on no longer works, so I lost access to Highlander and ask my other Jag CD games. :-(
-
Servers being shut down is just as common on PC so that's irrelevant. You can buy a huge array of parts, or working new or used consoles, just like if your computer has a hardware issue. Sorry but I don't buy into the whole PC gaming is better. All gaming is great, no one platform is truly superior.
-
PC game fans often have the option of setting up their own servers. Console fans almost never gave that option. And consoles are often made with propriety parts, where do I get those when the console eventually dies? I've been gaming on consoles since Pong in the '70s, I'm no PC gaming elitist. But the Alienware Alpha let's me have my cake and eat it too. I'm seriously considering picking one up, to complement my Xbox One, 360, OG Xbox, Dreamcast, etc. I have 15 game consoles, and I'd like to reduce the amount I have to add to that list in the future. :-)
-
Well if you're not going to read my full comment I guess the discussion is useless. As I said there are places to buy parts. EBay, flea markets and Craigslist are the first that come to mind. The amount of games that allow you to set up a server are dwindling. It's all part of the DRM that is sadly becoming the norm.
-
I read your full comment, no point insulting me or making unfair assumptions. I can just buy a new PC when all else fails, getting parts for an old Atari Jaguar CD add-on (where only a couple of thousand were ever made) is a lot tougher. Are you saying that's not a distinct advantage? And I'm tired of having over a dozen systems hooked up, and want to avoid dozens more.
-
If you took what I said as an insult that's your issue. I simply stated that your question was answered in my previous comment, therefore my assumption was quite fair. As for having dozens of consoles hooked up, that's the hobby of collecting video games. Just as scouring the internet for rare finds like parts for the jaguar cd add on is part of the hobby. And if you decide to emulate your jaguar, you're going to have a difficult time finding an emulator that works well.
-
Ultimately that's part of my point. If I switch to PC gaming then issues like emulation, backwards compatibility, parts availability, should all be problems of the past. I have a business to run, I don't have time to scour flea markets for old console parts. When I have down time, I just want to play. And I don't live in trump towers, the space my consoles, and the games themselves, take up is beginning to be a problem, so I'd already switched to digital distribution for all my game purchases. That takes most of the fun out of collecting, but I'm OK with that as my focus is my business, my girlfriend, etc., not my hobbies.
-
Remember Microsoft is working on unifying they're console and PC games. It was posted on windows central quite some time ago, so our Xbox ones might be able to do the same thing as the alienware machine in the near future
-
That's great for newer PC games sold through Microsoft directly, where the developer chooses to also make it a universal app, and also chooses to include the Xbox One. It's not good for the decades of backwards compatibility out there, non-universal apps, etc.
-
That's the very reason my buddy bought his xb1 2 weeks ago, all he wanted was to decimate kids again in halo 2. The MCC is doing its part in sales, not to mention discounts
-
He only wanted to take out 10% of the kids in Halo 2? ;-)
-
What light? The lite work it takes hackers to get into any Sony network they want???
-
Dumbass that was one time u people need to let it go
-
um, these are consoles. i seriously am baffled as to why people feel the need to choose a side. anything nowadays for people to feel like an elitist.
-
Awesome!
-
And if Microsoft keeps cutting the price or offering compeling bundles, they'll keep selling more. I am among those that bought the XBone because of those compeling bundles for the same 399€. It was the thing that finally tipped the scale in favour of the XBone for me over my natural choise which would be the PS4.
-
Agreed! I was tempted to move away from Xbox in favor of Playstation but the bundles were just too good for me to pass it up. Microsoft did good...this time at least.
-
Glad you finally got it bro. Loving my CODAW Xbox One
-
Sorry DJCBS, but apparently you're not a hard-core Sony if $50 bucks and a game deterred you.
-
1 down (month) 11 to go.
-
Before?...
-
Oh, before Xbox One can say we are dominating the PS4, like the Xbox 360 dominated the PS3 for almost 24 months prior to this Generation Launch.
-
I have to wait that long for sony to drop their prices, wth!
-
Just got mine last week .
-
Soon I will buy one lol been occupied with more important matters.
-
Congratulations on the birth of your child. ;)
-
That's not important.
-
Who cares about children these days? Microsoft is more important
-
Is your parent bill gates or nadela or Ballmer by any chance? :P
-
Don't have kids. They just take money away from your tech purchases.
-
Have kids. They're a good excuse for your tech purchases, e.g. I don't want an XBox for myself - it's a present for my son.
-
^ That is correct mr. gerry! :)
-
Your ruining our sarcastic comments.
-
"This is the first time that the Xbox One has outsold its competitor since the system was launched". This isn't true. NPD numbers for December 2013 showed that Xbox One won that month as well.
-
Which is the holiday of its launch
-
Meaning it was AFTER its launch therefore the term 'since its launch' does apply.
-
I'm not sure what you chaps are talking about. The Xbox One and PS4 both launched in Novemver 2013. Xbox One outsold PS4 in North America in December 2013. Therefore, the author's comment that November 2014 was the first time that Xbox One outsold PS4 is incorrect. It's the second time.
-
I'm curious where you found those numbers coip. As far as I remember Microsoft never released their numbers for how many they sold, they just shipped more to retailers. Sony still outsold them until last month.
-
Microsoft announced it on January 16, 2014 in a press release, which you can read here via this link.
-
microsoft doesn't collect numbers for sales. they would need to go to the retailers to accumulate that data and it isn't required for US GAAP financial reporting. number shipped is a valid number. At most you can game the numbers for one month by flooding the retail channels but it would corrected the followimg month when retailers order a lot less product. i don't get why sony fans keep pushimg this poînt. Number sold and number shipped will be equivalent in the long run. product sitting on a shelf or warehouse is a big expense for any retailer and none of them would allow that. they either sell it or unload at cost and stop order a product if it doesn't sell.
-
That's right, Big Lots, baby.
-
You are correct.
-
This isn't true. NPD numbers for December 2013 showed that Xbox One won that month as well
The article was referring to the first time in BOTH the UK and US I am not sure what the result was for the UK for that month so this could still be true. -
An interesting point, but the way the article is worded--"This is the first time that the Xbox One has outsold its competitor since the system was launched, with Microsoft reporting that it has sold 1.2 million consoles in the U.S. alone."--it doesn't unambiguously imply that that statement is in reference to both the UK and U.S., especially since the latter clause mentions only the U.S. Even so, that would be an odd thing to report without also reporting that the Xbox One in the U.S. did previously outself the PS4. Nevertheless, as no data or press releases seem to be available for UK December 2013 console sales, if that is the author's intention, he failed to cite the proper sources for that claim. For that claim to be correct, it would have to mean that the PS4 outsold the Xbox One in the UK in December 2013 at a large enough gap to overcome the sales gap produced by Xbox One outselling the PS4 in December 2013 in the U.S., and we don't have that data, and the author didn't provide a source substantiating that claim.
-
I hope this is not temporary good news for Microsoft. With the FF7 rerelease and Street Fighter 5 Exclusivity coming to PS4. Microsoft is going to have to use a flea flicker (football term) on Sony. And it needs to be a strong one.
-
FF7 I used to want that. Then I realized that the game is viewed with nostalgia tinted glasses. It's not really that good.
-
I have wanted to play FF7 for an extremely long time. Picked it up for PC over the summer on a steam sale, loaded it up, and the game crashed in the first 30 minutes. I have waited this long. I can wait another 10 years for Square to get their act together and do a FF7 remake instead of a horrible port of a port of a port. Thankfully the FF13 patch that hit today makes that game playable. Another game I have been waiting on, and so far it has been fun! Maybe this is a sign that Square will start supporting their products rather than release and run?
-
Have you bought FFXIII-2 from steam, which was released, last night? That's a good game just like FFXIII. Can't wait for Ligntning Returns / FFXIII-3. :)
-
It is quite good, just not for everyone, especially the beginning can be slow. But I'm quite happy with my PS1 -version.
-
Yeah I agree. FF7 is actually a terrible game compared to the newer ones. People look at it with nostalgia tinted glasses and think it's great.
-
LOOOOOOL NO. This Gen just killed final fantasy!! I just hope FFXV to be a decent game U.U
-
They didn't even remaster final fantasy it is a straight port of the PC versions. You'd have to be a pretty hardcore FF nut to be excited about that, but then again if you are you'd probably already have it. Does streetfighter 5 bring anything new to the table? I'm kind of curious if it's changed much after all these years?
-
I wouldn't be worried about a slightly enhanced FF7 (this is not what FF7 fans wanted...myself included)...And it isn't the 1990's so losing SFV isn't a huge loss for Xbox and surely not a system seller for PS4....Microsoft is in the driver's seat but they need to maintain their own momentum if they want to even the race or eventually take the lead.
-
Not sure what the 90s have to do with fighters. All of the major fighters have been around since then: Tekken, SF, Virtua Fighter, Mortal Kombat. These are the mainstays of the fighting genre.
-
You forgot Killer Instinct.
-
I dunno if I'd call that a mainstay. It took 20 years (first game in 1993) for them to make a second one. The four I mentioned have consistently gotten new versions over the last 20+ years and are the top competitive fighters.
-
You forgot Primal Rage.
-
-_-
-
Killer Instinct 2 was released much sooner than 20 years after the first. Then there's Killer Instinct Gold, which in fairness is just the home port of KI2. The series did go dormant for a terribly long time after that though.
-
Sorry. Forgot there was an actual 2. So KI (1993). KI2 (1996). KI"3" (2014). That's still 18 year span. Still not popular enough in the fighter world to warrant much attention.
-
KI 2014 is actually pretty popular and well-liked by fighting game fans who have played it, although that crowd is more Playstation-centric due to tournament organizers and SRK generally preferring to use PS consoles. But yes, the KI series has less clout than Street Fighter, MK, and Tekken since Rare and Microsoft let it lie fallow so long. However, as long as Microsoft keeps up with the new version and makes sure to keep the series going, it will continue to grow in popularity and become more valuable as an exclusive as time goes on.
-
Sony fanboys were crying with disappointment after the ff7 announcement.
-
Sony just have exclusive rehashes, Microsoft bring new IP to the table that looks incredible =)
-
Right, because the Halo MC rendering was new IP. If you go through the list at IGN for 2014, alot of the same games are on PS4. Then alot of "unique" games are merely ports of already existing PC games (like Warframe, which is also on PS4). Then you have the mainstay franchises like sports, or CoD or FF or BF.
Don't make unsubstantiated statements that aren't even true. Makes you just sound like a fanboy. -
Sunset Overdrive? That was a new IP and besides rehashing The Last Of Us. What exclusive new ip did Sony even have that mattered since launch and don't say Driveclub as that was a flop..
-
Where did I say Sony was better or did all that? I was just saying that he's acting like Sony does rehashes and Xbox doesn't. I was saying Xbox does the same thing. This is where reading comprehension comes in. You automatically assumed I meant Sony did it all better because I was bashing Xbox and I said/meant nothing of the kind.
-
FF7 Exclusivity on the PS4? NOOOohhh! . :) I hope it gets released on PC too though.
-
Sure.
-
They just have to keep the momentum going and 2015 could be the year of Xbox
-
Well I never... Marketing actually works... Who knew!? /s
-
The team in charge of marketing for WP damn sure didn't know.
-
it baffles me that the marketing team is not yet "united as one" under the Microsoft Corporation. you see ads for Surface and Xbox some are really good and unique and you just don't see that spark with Windows Phone. I can only say that the Cortana ads were the only ones that got the people around me intrigued. But all they said was CORTANA that's the thought they kept, not WINDOWS PHONE. see the problem there
-
You are exactly right, my friend.
-
They need to be promoting the ecosystem as a whole. An entire campaign for the ecosystem alone. I see ads for the Xbox, surface, Cortana, even 'the Microsoft cloud' on TV... but the only reason I know they have anything to do with one another is because I'm a geek, and had prior knowledge anyway... Joe bloggs in the street wouldn't have a clue. In the UK atm there is a full scale campaign for Android, not a specific device or feature, just android... brand awareness... and it's not like they're struggling. I just wish MS would do something coherent for a change and stop snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. The best advert I have seen, in terms of being quite memorable, whilst making steps toward tying the ecosystem together, along with portraying that ecosystem as a fun place to be, wasn't even a Microsoft advert... it was Nokia's Lumia 530 ad... and shock horror, that was only ever shown on youtube! http://youtu.be/NuwEwygXnOc
-
Haha... whilst I've been a dick, I've slightly proven my point in the process... turns out that was a Microsoft advert after all! Lol
-
But, that was good.. Rarity.
-
Same android campaign going on over here stateside
-
Finally! Now make the discounts and bundles permanent, and keep on keeping on with the monthly improvements to the platform. It's time to wipe the floor with Sony.
-
Suck it, Sony!!!
-
XBox is overall a better console than PS4. If you see all struggle Sony is having on in all their business X1 is a better bet out there. Good job Microsoft.
-
Still can't bring myself to get one due to the 900p stuff, which will likely worsen as the life goes on. The games still look great though.
-
Likely worsen? No it's likely to get better as time goes on.
-
Yeah, those 180 pixels make a huge difference. /s
-
1080 20% more than 900. As is 1920 over 1600. So it's actually 44% more pixels overall. Not sure how much of visual difference that makes on TV, but I sure wouldn't mind a 44% raise, or even 20%.
-
plenty of gaming sight went over this and it makes no difference at nirmal viewing distances with game play at normal speeds. if you freeze the game and zoom in, then 1080p shows more detail. otherwise, gamepkay is exactly the same. the have shown a consta t framerate is more important.
-
Saw a few of those. They were mostly checking fast paced action shooters, where it likely isn't noticeable. Personally, I prefer other kinds of games, but not sure if it really matters there either. Anyways, I'm enjoying my 1080p 60fps goodness with my Wii U.
-
There is a supposed slim coming out in the following year(s)? But rumoured and it's supposed to be better
-
No, it'll be exactly the same, just slightly slimmer. So, unless you're putting a leash on your Xbox and entering it into dog shows, it really doesn't matter.
-
The next revision will likely use less power as well. But yeah, performance shouldn't be affected.
-
What the?!?....Please tell me you just smoked a bowl of something before posting. Explain to me how the games look great....yet you are worried about the pixels?
-
Dat funny people hahaha
-
Optimization nothing more. Games from launch on 360 and now at its end are vastly different.
-
Lmfao...do us a favor and don't buy one if you're going to complain about the lack of 180 pixels. That's something no one can see. It literally makes zero difference. Smdh.
-
Apparently the ps4 does amazing graphics though, at 19fps...
-
SUPPOSEDLY, DX12 can up to double GPU performance. I'm sure the XB1 GPU won't see that big of a boost, but it will be interesting to see how much benefit it does gain. Perhaps enough to close the gap with PS4 and put this lousy 900p stuff to rest...
-
The PS4 also has the Problems with 900p and lags in 1080p
-
No it can't. It can reduce CPU downtime / even CPU load, by allowing drawcalls to be made from multiple threads. It might bring some lower level hw access, but these are dedicated machines, developers already have low level access where needed (at least on PS4, I would assume the same holds true for XBone). You are likely to see more optimizations from utilizing the RAM differences in the two machines.
-
My son got his Xbox ONE this week. I bought Call of Duty right away. Had to do a facory reset, now everything is fine. Had expected much more from the store. Not even beter than Xbox 360 store. Big bummer. But .... no regrets though.
-
What don't you like about the store?
-
Its layout is fairly terrible.
-
Yeah, it is. How about some filtering options to look at games by genre, Kinect integration or SmartGlass integration status, local multiplayer, online multiplayer, sort by price, etc. It's impossible to find things unless you 1. know exactly what you want, 2. look at every game in reverse order by release date. Add-ons are an even bigger nightmare.
-
Yeah, agreed. The 360 store was more manageable. It seems like in their efforts to reduce the number of screens associated with the console they have limited a lot of user friendliness. I imagine things would be even more of a nightmare for people who don't have Kinect though.
-
There is not much in it.
-
Can't wait to see what they will do with Windows 10 and Xbox One on Jan. 21.
-
That is what I am excited about. If they do it correctly, they will have the potential to sell even more and at a higher rate.
-
Xbox wins Baby!
-
I bought one though in my opinion the games are expensive and there's hardly any of them, I'm sick of the game updates/downloads so when you buy a game you cant play it as you don't have fibre broadband and even though it has blue ray I doubt anyone goes out their way to buy one
-
$10 more than last Gen. I was shocked at first, but only buy games you will play and replay. Besides, $10 for a 2 hour movie at the cinema. The game gives you more mileage. That's just my equation.
-
Where can you go to the cinema for ten bucks?
-
Plenty of places, far too long a list to post here.
-
In my city it is ten or less, and dollar is still here too. Some theaters are even 8 here.
-
Umm.. Games cost exactly the same as the Xbox 360/ps3 era... No price increase at all...
-
PS4 downloads and updates are exactly the same ...
-
Erm the games aren't expensive in the UK, I have got most half price - and they are new!, and the store's back Friday sale was incredible!
-
I got the Xbox for 280 with the bundles
-
Brak Fryday Bunduru!
-
#DealWithIt sony :D
-
PS4 is the Best that is why its not a cheap console
-
LOL
-
Fail. Xbox was more expensive last year and I didn't see your fail -ass say the same thing about Xbox.
-
Not best necessarily, but it is selling fast enough that there is no need for Sony to drop the price or bundle games.
-
SF5 = PS4 Exclusive
-
Wow really? Amazing! Sad (for you) I'll enjoy Quantum Break, Halo 5, the next Gears of War and many many great games.
-
KI = XB1 Exclusive
-
I don't freakin know what the fuck is killer instinct but I assume it's much much less popular than SF
-
If you don't know what "Killer Instinct" is, then how'd you know I was referring to Killer Instinct even though I only wrote "KI"? Seems like you're a liar.
-
Tomb Raider = XB1 exclusive... who cares? I will buy both consoles for ALL Exclusives
-
Timed exclusive
-
Microsoft is publishing the game. Timed and then to PC.
-
The next "super ultra turbo" edition probably won't be.
-
i prefer tekken anyway. its more dynamic, full 3d environment and playable by newbies (even better for experts)
-
Gave em a December bump. Bought my sister one with halo and sunset overdrive. ... Then the mid week Microsoft Store deal happened. Could have saved myself the cost of a game. Le sigh.
-
Anyone know how the WiiU did?
-
Who cares about Wii U... U?
-
Academic curiosity, mostly.
-
I hear it did like 240K for the month. It was about 1/4 as well as the Xbox One.
-
I bought one Xbox One and one Xbox 360!
-
I bought 360 Xbox One and one Xbox 360 xDDD
-
Yeahhhhh
-
for me, it's the fact that my information are better protect with microsoft then sony, sony are hack every year or so... again a few week ago... I can't give my money to a company that are not able to protect my information... and the controler of the xbox is simply the best in the marquet right now... I can't wait to see what phill will announce on january 21th...
-
You are absolutely right about the Xbox controller, by far the best design. I can't stand the feel of the PS controller
-
I don't understand why there is so much of a push for one or the other to succeed. I have an xbox one, but I want both platforms to succeed, it benefits all of us!
-
People who can't afford all platforms tend to try to justify their purchase. Sometimes this presents itself as console -fandom. Of course, doesn't apply to everyone. XBone was falling behind, so it's good that it is catching up, now if only Wii U did better (although it too had its best month yet, and apparently Amiibos are selling like crazy, not sure how long that will last though).
-
Article is wrong. Xbox One outsold PS4 last December as well. This is not the first time.
-
I picked up the white Xbox sunset overdrive bundle. I love it! PS4 may have some more graphical power, but I believe that Xbox brings more to the table. Look at how the 360 transformed over time. Microsoft brings cool innovation with software updates.
-
Xbox is graphically better. ps4 just had then 1080 p resolution.
-
Cool! I read that they're supposedly doing some type of remaster for Borderlands. All 3 games, XONE? Don't really know.
-
I don't think Sony can stop(afford) to play the price game with Microsoft for at least another 6 months. By that time it might just be to late.
-
I'm still debating on what to get. Since street fighter V is a ps4/pc exclusive decisions are tough...
-
I suggest to just go to the Arcade for Fighting Games.
-
Arcades are dead. Consoles and the internet killed them.
-
Well I guess the "Forever Alone" guys killed the Arcade if thats true. :D
-
Just buy both. Lol
-
I was team PlayStation.. Mostly last gen. I got an Xbox 360 for Gears and ESPN. This Gen I went with XBone... More because I realized I didn't play the many games I got for PS3 on the plus sub. So, I figured I wouldn't miss it. My reasoning for getting an Xbox One over PS4 are more media based. I'm an Xbox music pass subscriber and this will most likely be my used app bar none. It already is now. So, this combined with all those other media apps can basically replaced your Roku. Oh, and of course it plays games. So that's a big plus. If your thing is fighters, then you already have two exclusives to PS4 with Guilty Gear and SFV. But we have KI and Tekken next year. So, in essence, it's subjective. For me it was media options, for you it could be specific games.

Crossing my fingers that I buy myself one for Christmas, guess I'll have to wait until Xmas morning to find out if I came through or not...
-
got mine for 250. thanks for the trade in. it was a steal.
-
Sweet
-
Dang, almost a half-million unit difference in just this months. That's... Really impressive.
-
Seems cheaper.
-
The takeover has now begun
-
I run everything from my Xbox. Most complete entertainment system out there.
-
I'm a Microsoft fan... but I like Playstation 4 a bit more. And here comes the hate comments...
-
its all personal preference, who cant accept it is an idiot. i will buy the ps4 too because of uncharted, until dawn and last of us.
-
Wow more understanding than I thought
-
I have both consoles for exclusives. But I use my Xbox one more often. I like both consoles but Xbox one has the edge for me. Plus, more of my friends play on Xbox live than psn.
-
Day one baby! Glad things are looking up for Microsoft. At least in the Xbox department. It's hard out here for an exclusively using Microsoft products kinda pimp these days!
-
Nice. XBone has got some decent releases lately so it's no wonder, especially when the mentioned markets have traditionally prefered XB. For now, I'll still stick with my Wii U & PC -combo, as most of those titles are available for PC, or do not interest me.
-
Yes!!!!
-
I hope they keep selling well
-
Score one for the one
-
yeah scored the assassins creed bundle for only around $280 with my 25% discount at Walmart, thanks to being an employee there. If microsoft is smart they would keep the price point around this at least until the summer
-
Xbox is just like Batman. Rise Xbox. Rise.
-
Hmm, as for the PS4, it seems I only want to play Bloodborne there. Hmm, maybe I should just stick to Dark Souls for PC?
-
In every way XboxOne is better system. PS4 may have the edge in graphics - but it really isn't by that much. In every other department from media, online, streaming, control, apps, innovation, UI, NAS use, social, multiplayer...etc; the one excels over PS4.
-
it has no edge in graphics :) most of the games are in same resolution and fps, some in 1080p are lagging on ps4 while on xbox they work fluently in 900p. The exclusives work great on both consoles.
-
right. xcept thst xbox is bulkier than ps4. Xbox clearly wins over ps4. the argument should end now.
-
Great!
-
I helped get the record! Lol
-
Who are they kidding, it is all about the price.
-
Sony is going deep down now, nothing is bright for them. They want to shift their investments on ps4, and this news together with sony picture got hacked doesnt come at any worse time of the year.
-
Still waiting for a further price drop. My 360 still works just fine. And I'm cheap...
-
Cool, but I like to enjoy the latest technology before it's too late
-
Cool
