Xbox partners with PowerA and more for pastel Spring controllers and grips

Spring has sprung, and with it came a newly-announced collaboration to release a pastel accessory lineup including wired controllers and controller grips for Xbox. The Designed for Xbox team worked in partnership with PowerA, Otterbox, and 8BitDo to put together the Spring Collection that features a soft pastel color palette.

PowerA will be producing five of the new controllers, all of which will be wired and include a 10-foot cable. The PowerA Enhanced Wired Controllers for Xbox Series X|S feature two fully mappable gaming buttons on the back that can be programmed by the player alongside standard controller features like dual rumble motors in each grip and a 3.5mm stereo headset jack. The controller features an adjustable volume dial on the faceplate with one-touch mic controls. It is also ready for next-gen, featuring an Xbox Share button.

The controllers are compatible with Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PCs. The Spring collection will be available in five pastel colors including Lavender Swirl, Cotton Candy Blue, Pink Lemonade, Purple Camo, and Pastel Dream. They retail for $38 USD from the Microsoft Store and other third-party retailers, with preorders now live, ahead of an April 18 debut.

The sixth controller in the new Spring collection is the Pastel Pink Ultimate Wired Controller for Xbox in partnership with 8BitDo. Like the PowerA controllers, this controller is also wired and features two programmable buttons on the backside. 8BitDo's software gives players customization options including button mapping, stick and trigger sensitivity, vibration, and more. Players can also create custom profiles that can be changed on the fly using the controller's custom profile button.

There is a 3.5mm audio jack included and a one-press button to mute your mic directly from the controller. The 8BitDo Pastel Pink Ultimate Wired Controller is compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC. It will be available from the Microsoft Store and other retailers in select markets worldwide for $45 USD, launching on May 31.

In addition to the six controllers, Xbox has partnered with OtterBox to develop the OtterBox Easy Grip Controller Shell in the brand new Lilac Dream color to protect your controller from drops and scrapes. The hard shell grip expands the lineup with a new colorway, offering two sets of pink and purple swappable soft-grip pads with a clear glitter shell. The OtterBox Easy Grip Controller Shell in Lilac Dream is available today, priced at $40 USD from the Microsoft Store in the US and Canada, and other select retailers worldwide.
