Marvel's Avengers is an upcoming action game from Square Enix, but the reveal didn't go as smoothly as the company anticipated. When Avengers was announced a few months ago, people criticized it for the "distorted" character faces and linearity of the missions. Instead of a sprawling adventure, the game came across as a brawler.
While we always knew that the game would feature a number of environments, we got a taste of a new nighttime region in Iron Man's profile. You'll be fighting enemies not only in a city, but also what appears to be some sort of space station. It's hard to tell what it is given that we only catch a glimpse in the trailer.
Flying in for the spotlight is the inventor and tech wunderkind - Iron Man! With his genius-level intellect, masterful engineering skills, and witty remarks, Tony Stark has a solution for every problem - except maybe himself. pic.twitter.com/muJbenuBtqFlying in for the spotlight is the inventor and tech wunderkind - Iron Man! The one concerning aspect of the trailer has to be the clunky animations and the strange, green halos orbiting Iron Man. While I understand that you need to showcase healing and other abilities, they could be done in a subtler way like having the lights on his suit flash green for a few seconds. Hopefully, the team will continue to polish this aspect of gameplay up before its May 2020 launch.
The Avengers game takes place after a horrific event leaves San Francisco in ruins. The team has been disbanded for five years, but when an even bigger evil threatens the planet, it's up to you to assemble the crew and save the world once.
