What you need to know

BenQ announced the TH685 console gaming projector today. The project is designed with minimal latency and a quick refresh rate to ensure smooth gameplay on projections of up to 150-inches. It also has a Game Picture Mode which increases the projection's contrast to show details clearly. The projector is available through Best Buy (opens in new tab), B&H (opens in new tab), and other major retailers starting at $799. You can read the complete specs of the projector on BenQ's website.

The 1080p projector supports HDR and has an 8.3ms response time at 120Hz. It can reach a brightness of 3500 lumens on a lamp that lasts up to 15,000 hours. It also has a 1.3x zoom, enabling flexible throw distances.

The projector can be used for enjoying media, such as streaming devices and Blu-ray players, but BenQ focuses on the projector's capabilities that make it a good choice for gaming.
