- The team was not bringing Cyberpunk 2077 but had planned to be at the event all the same.
- CD Projekt Red does still intend to attend GDC 2020.
CD Projekt Red will no longer be at PAX East. Stephanie Bayer, the Head of Communications for CD Projekt Red in North America, shared the news via Twitter.
I just found out my team is cancelling our PAX East trip so I will NOT be at PAX East as previously planned.— Ｓｔｅｐｈａｎｉｅ Ｂａｙｅｒ (@NSSteph) February 25, 2020
I should still be at GDC though!
While the news is disappointing for anyone who was hoping to talk with the team at PAX East, Bayer also noted that the team should still be attending GDC 2020, so that event remains unaffected for now.
Yesterday, CD Projekt Red made the major announcement that it would be the first third-party company to support Xbox's new Smart Delivery for the next generation, meaning players who buy Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One will get the eventual Xbox Series X upgrade for free.
