343 Industries has launched Season 6 of Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC), which is named "Raven" after the ODST Fireteam Raven arcade game released in 2018. Dozens of new Halo 3 cosmetic items have been added to the MCC with the arrival of the new season, including new armor sets, weapon and vehicle skins, animated visors, and even backpacks for your Spartan. There are also a few rewards tied to exclusive gameplay challenges, which will give hardcore players something new to chase after. Many of these cosmetics are themed after the characters from Fireteam Raven. Notably, the new seasonal content is free to all players and can be earned by accruing XP and unlocking levels on the newest Season Pass. Make sure to watch the video below for a full in-depth breakdown of all of the new unlocks.

In addition to all of the cool new cosmetic content, a map from Halo Online, Waterfall, has also been added to the MCC. This map can be used in Halo 3 Custom games. There's also a new gamemode available in Halo: Reach, Halo 2: Anniversary, and Halo 4 called Escalation Slayer. In this gamemode, you get a new weapon with each kill you get, which will no doubt create some interesting gameplay scenarios.

Finally, 343 Industries' Exchange system has been introduced with the arrival of Season 6. This rotating in-game storefront allows players to unlock exclusive items from previous MCC seasons that would otherwise be unobtainable. This helps to fight off the dreaded "fear of missing out," or FOMO.

Are you looking forward to jumping into Season 6? Let me know. You should check out the MCC if you haven't already, as it offers all of the pre-Xbox One Halo shooters in a single bundle. It's easily one of the best Xbox One shooters available, and it's also an excellent game to play while waiting for Halo Infinite to arrive.
