What you need to know

  • 343 Industries has launched Season 6 of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which is dubbed "Raven" as many of the new items in the season are inspired by the ODST Fireteam Raven.
  • There are dozens of new armors, weapon skins, vehicle skins, animated visors, backpacks, and more to unlock for Halo 3.
  • Additionally, a map from Halo Online, Waterfall, is now available for Halo 3 Custom Games. There's also a new gamemode called Escalation Slayer available in Halo: Reach, Halo 2: Anniversary, and Halo 4.
  • Finally, the Exchange system has been introduced with Season 6. This rotating in-game storefront allows players to unlock exclusive items from previous MCC seasons that are normally no longer obtainable.

In addition to all of the cool new cosmetic content, a map from Halo Online, Waterfall, has also been added to the MCC. This map can be used in Halo 3 Custom games. There's also a new gamemode available in Halo: Reach, Halo 2: Anniversary, and Halo 4 called Escalation Slayer. In this gamemode, you get a new weapon with each kill you get, which will no doubt create some interesting gameplay scenarios.

Finally, 343 Industries' Exchange system has been introduced with the arrival of Season 6. This rotating in-game storefront allows players to unlock exclusive items from previous MCC seasons that would otherwise be unobtainable. This helps to fight off the dreaded "fear of missing out," or FOMO.

Are you looking forward to jumping into Season 6? Let me know. You should check out the MCC if you haven't already, as it offers all of the pre-Xbox One Halo shooters in a single bundle. It's easily one of the best Xbox One shooters available, and it's also an excellent game to play while waiting for Halo Infinite to arrive.
