Lenovo announced a slew of new devices today. Among them is the Slim 7i Carbon, a thin and light machine that weighs under 1 kg (2.2 lbs). To hit that weight, the device is made with a magnesium alloy body that's reinforced with multi-layer carbon fiber. The Lenovo Slim 7i Carbon should ship in June 2022 with a starting price of $1,299.
Inside, the Slim 7i Carbon runs on a 12th Gen Intel Core CPU that's kept cool with a self-adjusting fan. It's an Intel Evo device, which means it meets standards for battery life and performance. The processor is paired with Intel Iris Xe graphics.
The display of the Slim 7i Carbon is a 13.3-inch 2.5K screen with an option for touch. It's a PureSight panel, meaning it has at least a 90Hz refresh rate, a 2.5K resolution, and is a calibrated display that removes blue light to reduce eye fatigue.
