PGA TOUR 2K21 will release worldwide on Friday, August 21 for consoles (Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch), PC and Google Stadia. American golfer Justin Thomas, who ascended all the way to the No. 1 ranking in the world for a time in 2018, is the cover star. Interestingly, the current top-ranked player, Rory McIlroy, was on the cover the last time there was a fully licensed PGA game, which was five years ago when EA had the license.
But 2K isn't starting its adventure on the links from scratch. PGA TOUR 2K21 has been developed by HB Studios, the team responsible for carrying the proverbial torch for video game golf the last few years with its The Golf Club franchise. What it will have now is a full license, which will pay off in the form of 15 real life PGA TOUR courses, 11 additional pros besides Thomas, and the commentary team of Luke Elvy and Mike Breen.
