Microsoft's Surface Pro X makes our list of best Windows laptop options, taking a top spot thanks to easy mobility and a premium build. This ARM-powered 2-in-1 PC is ideal for professionals and students who need 4G LTE connectivity, long battery life, and touch display with inking. Ahead of Black Friday, models with the SQ1 processor (CPU) have been discounted by $200 at Microsoft. That means you can grab one of these impressive 2-in-1 PCs for as low as $800.
The Surface Pro X isn't for everyone. If you don't need a super slim device with 4G LTE connectivity, touch display with inking, and an ARM CPU, you will probably find some other Black Friday Surface deals far more suitable. However, if you're a professional who is always on the move and don't mind working around some of ARM's limitations, this is no doubt a PC you've been eyeing for awhile.
It includes Microsoft's SQ1 CPU, which is essentially a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx that's been beefed up. This is an ARM64 chip, meaning it needs an emulation layer to run 32-bit x86 apps. Performance is still good (somewhere around an Intel Core i5 CPU), and more apps are getting native support all the time. And the tradeoff is excellent battery life and a cool system with no fans.
The 13-inch display is beautiful, with a crisp 2880x1920 resolution, 3:2 aspect ratio, and touch and inking abilities. There's hardly any bezel around the display for a modern look, and color reproduction is excellent.
If you've been waiting for the price to drop to get your hands on the Pro X, this Black Friday deal might just be the one. All SQ1 models are discounted by $200, so you can start as low as $800 and work your way up to a $1,600 model with 16GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD.
