What you need to know

  • The Victus by HP 16 is being advertised as a single platform for HP and Omen brand fusion.
  • It will feature relevant gaming hardware and a modern, sleek aesthetic.
  • It will be available in June and is slated to start at $799.

The Victus by HP 16 (what a name!) is almost here. It's being championed by HP and Omen as an HP laptop with Omen DNA woven right into its core, as can be evidenced by the fact that the Victus logo is basically carved directly from the lower half of the Omen logo.

Outside of just the logo, Omen's fingerprint is also nestled away within the shell of the Victus via its classic Omen Gaming Hub. Undervolting, performance mode, and a slew of other features can be yours thanks to the hub, which is a nice perk on the software side.

On the hardware front, this machine will keep you in the game, though it won't rival the power ceilings of, say, the Alienware m15 R6. Options cap out at an NVIDIA RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 5500M for the GPU, and the top CPU options are an 11th Generation Intel Core i7-11800H or 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 5800H.

In other words, the Victus 16 isn't going to be a mobile tank. However, it's set to be an aesthetically pleasing solution for gamers who are fine with entry to mid-range specs and don't want to break the bank. The full rundown of specs is listed below.
