Black Friday is a great time to get PC parts deals, and Best Buy has the WD Easystore 14TB desktop hard drive (opens in new tab) on sale for $199.99. That's a $100 difference over what the hard drive was going for yesterday, and it's one of the best prices we've ever seen on this version of the Easystore. It matches a deal we shared just a couple weeks ago. Right now, this 14TB version of the drive is $30 less expensive than the 12TB version (opens in new tab) available on Best Buy's site, which means you're getting an extra 2TB without paying more.

This is a great low price even better than deals we've seen before, but this price drop is unique and unlikely to last forever. With USB 3.0, you get super speedy transfer speeds. The drive includes automatic backup options to protect your data.

The WD Easystore is a really simple and easy-to-use desktop hard drive. It is compatible with both Windows and Mac, and it has flexible installation options. The plug-and-play device doesn't require anything special to start using it, but it does come with optional software additions if you want them.

You'll get data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps thanks to the USB 3.0 connection. That's obviously what gives it its wide compatibility, but it's also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 so you can use it in even more places. Of course the speeds won't be as fast, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.

The drive does come with some software you can use to setup things like automatic backup options. Keep your data safe by making it redundant. The drive should definitely be large enough to fit everything you've got. Keep the drive nearby or move it somewhere safe so it's a secondary location for all of your data. Or just use the drive as a central spot for all your media so you can pull your photos or movies all from one spot. Whatever you do with it is up to you, and it's large enough you can probably use it as a backup and media storage.

  • Just scored this earlier today at best buy. On my way to (finally) be able to fully install call of duty warzone. Just have to wait 2 months for the download to finish now... 🤣
