Aftercharge, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, and more games leave Xbox Game Pass soon

What you need to know

  • A few more games are leaving Xbox Game Pass "soon."
  • Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is quite possibly the biggest.
  • The game along with two others may leave towards the end of July.
  • You can get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate through the Microsoft Store for $1.

Updated July 3, 2019: Aside from Aftercharge, The Lego Movie Video Game, and Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Dandara, Dead Rising 2, Hitman: Season 1, Metal Slug XX, Defense Grid: The Awakening, Hexic 2, and Iron Brigade will also leave the service in July.

Xbox Game Pass is Microsoft's game subscription service along the lines of Netflix. For one monthly price, you gain access to over 200 titles. However, as with any such service, certain games leave from time to time. At the end of this month, a handful of games will no longer be available.

According to the Xbox Game Pass app on iOS, Aftercharge, The Lego Movie Video Game, and Warhammer: Vermintide 2, will leave the service "soon." Usually, games leave at the end of the month, so expect a similar date this time around. Out of all of these, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be missed the most because it's a thrilling first-person melee action game. More games will also be added to Xbox Game Pass soon, so hopefully, those will outweigh this loss.

There's a promotion going on through the Microsoft Store which lets you upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – which includes Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox Live Gold – for $1. Amazon is also selling a three-month subscription for $20.
