Free DLC coming to Borderlands 2 today; Handsome Collection now in Game Pass

What you need to know

  • Borderlands 2 gets new DLC today for free.
  • Borderlands 3 received a new trailer.
  • Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is now available through Game Pass.

A whole lot of Borderlands announcements were just dropped on Microsoft's stage at E3 2019. First off, Borderlands 2 is getting anew DLC today. Yes, you read that correctly. A seven year old game is getting new story campaign DLC. Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary is exactly what it sounds like as our favorite Siren puts out a distress call asking for help defending the Crimson Raiders' outpost.

Sanctuary is under siege, the Vault Map has been stolen, and a toxic gas is poisoning Pandora. You'll step back into the boots of legendary Vault Hunters Maya, Salvador, Axton, Zer0, Gaige or Krieg to battle new bosses, explore new areas, and collect new loot, including an entirely new tier beyond Legendary. Join up with Lilith and the Crimson Raiders to take on a deranged villain hell-bent on claiming the Vault Map for himself.

We also got a brand new look at Borderlands 3 that showcases the mayhem that awaits players this September. I've already had the opportunity ti play Borderlands 3 at its gameplay reveal event, and this trailer only makes me more excited to get my hands on it again.

Lastly, Microsoft announced that Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection is now available through Xbox Game Pass. Lucky for you, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is only $1 right now. If you haven't played it yet, now's the time.
