Blizzard has just dropped a blogpost and nostalgic boost of a video covering its franchises that announced a new multi-part showcase event to kick off 2026. This is an announcement, of an announcement if you will, that some announcements are coming. And yes, this looks like it connects directly to the Diablo 4 tease we got that something was happening in February.

Blizzard will be rolling out a bunch of developer-led presentations focused on its biggest franchises, including World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Hearthstone, and Diablo. The showcases also double as part of Blizzard’s thirty-five-year anniversary celebration and will set the stage for what’s coming next this year, including the long-awaited return of BlizzCon in September.

Where you can watch the Blizzard presentations

Each presentation will stream on Blizzard’s official YouTube and Twitch channels, with the following schedule:

  • World of Warcraft State of Azeroth
    29 January at 9am Pacific, 12pm Eastern, 5pm UK - Youtube link
  • Overwatch Spotlight
    4 February at 10am Pacific, 1pm Eastern, 6pm UK - Youtube link
  • Hearthstone Spotlight
    9 February at 9.30am Pacific, 12.30pm Eastern, 5.30pm UK - Youtube link
  • Diablo 30th Anniversary Spotlight
    11 February at 2pm Pacific, 5pm Eastern, 10pm UK - Youtube link

For Diablo fans, that 11 February slot immediately stands out. Blizzard has already been teasing that something Diablo-related would be revealed in February, and this anniversary spotlight lines up perfectly with that timing.

Whether we see something more for the Lord of Hatred expansion, a reveal of what the second new class is, or something even bigger, I have no idea, but this is the date I'm most eager to tune in.

Alongside the showcase announcement, Blizzard also released a new video titled “Blizzard: The Next Chapter,” which looks back at the company’s history using roughly 400 physical artifacts from its archives.

The video is sure to give you chills if you are a fan of any of Blizzard's beloved franchises, and I've already watched it 10 times this morning thinking wistfully of simpler times!
