I've been on the fence about buying a Meta Quest VR headset for a long time, and each holiday season I wonder if this year's deals will finally convince me. Well, the time has come — my Meta Quest 3S should be arriving some time tomorrow.

I work from home, and generally live a rather sedentary lifestyle. I actually do enjoy being active, but straightforward exercise is also dreadfully boring, making it practically impossible for me to develop a routine.
That's where the Meta Quest virtual reality headset will (hopefully) come in. I want to be more active at home, and being able to explore brand-new virtual worlds while doing so will help me stay engaged. That's the idea, anyway, and I've been toying with changing the theoretical to reality for a while.
This Cyber Monday has finally given me the nudge I need to pull the trigger, despite my general reticence to spending money during these sales seasons at all (unless it's an awesome Xbox Game Pass Ultimate deal). Once the final embers of Cyber Monday have died out, and I can breathe again, I'm looking forward to my new Meta Quest 3S.
Cyber Monday hasn't ended, though, and that means the same deals that convinced me are still active — at least for now. I made a little bundle for myself that included the Meta Quest 3S (256GB) for $329.99 at BestBuy.com, the Meta Quest Elite Strap with Battery for $103.99 at BestBuy.com, and the Meta Quest Compact Charging Dock for $59.99 at BestBuy.com... that last item isn't actually on sale, but I don't feel like worrying about replacing the batteries in my controllers.
I briefly debated opting for the flagship Meta Quest 3, instead, tempted by the upgraded displays, but Meta's top VR headset hasn't enjoyed any meaningful discounts this Black Friday season. There were some free gift cards here and there, but nothing even close to good enough to entice me away from the excellent Meta Quest 3S deals.
