The day many of you have been waiting for is finally here. Today, Jurassic World Evolution launched on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. The game is based on the popular franchise and puts players in charge of a park, where they have the opportunity to create and manage their own Jurassic World.
According to Frontier Developments, Jurassic World Evolution places players in charge of operations on the legendary Isla Nublar and the surrounding islands of the Muertes Archipelago. You can construct attractions, containment, and research facilities to house dinosaurs. Better yet, you can even bioengineer new species.
If you're a fan of the legendary Jeff Goldblum, you're also in luck. Goldblum returns as Dr. Ian Malcolm and guides players through the moral choices and tactical decisions that will test their management skills. Bryce Dallas Howard and B. D. Wong are also in the game.
Jonny Watts, Frontier's Chief Creative Officer, issued the following statement alongside the launch.
Jurassic World Evolution immerses players and fans of the movies in the Jurassic World universe. With masses of rich franchise lore, iconic characters, incredible living dinosaurs, and islands you can reshape and construct however you choose, Jurassic World Evolution brings the dream of building and running your own Isla Nublar to life. This is your Jurassic World, and we can't wait to see what players create.
Jurassic World Evolution is currently available for $59.99 at various retailers. The game comes with Xbox One X enhancements like "4K Ultra HD" resolution. Note that only the digital version is available today. A physical copy comes out on July 3, 2018 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
