Take a look at Red Dead Redemption 2's varying environments

Red Dead Redemption 2 is roughly a month away and Rockstar Games keeps on putting out new information. Today, we got a better look at some of the towns and areas dotted across the vast and varied landscape.

According to the developer, the images take you to the "forests of West Elizabeth to the mountains of Ambarino to the plains of New Hanover to the swamps of Lemoyne." Red Dead Redemption 2 is shaping up to be one gorgeous game. Hopefully all of these areas will be filled with a lot of activities.

Red Dead Redemption 2 tells a personal story. After a robbery goes wrong in the town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal, and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals or loyalty to the gang who raised him.

Red Dead Redemption 2 should launch on October 26, 2018 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 systems. The game runs at "4K Ultra HD" resolution on Xbox One X.
