Forget cat ears, I want this awesome gaming headset themed after one of my favorite Pokémon — especially now that it and other accessories are on sale
Several Razer gaming accessories themed after Gengar, one of Pokémon's most iconic creatures, are enjoying a variety of discounts for a limited time
Now I may have mostly fallen out with the franchise, but I still hold a soft spot for Pokémon, especially for the earlier generations when it was fresh and new.
Razer appears to share my sentiment because some time ago, it decided to rekindle my childhood memories by producing gaming accessories based on Gengar, one of my favorite Ghost-type Pokémon from Pokémon Red/Blue.
What's even better is that these Gengar-themed accessories are now on sale with 20% discounts.
These include the Razer Kraken Kitty V2 USB Wired Headset (Gengar Spikes) for $111.99 at Amazon, the Razer Cobra Wired Gaming Mouse (Pokémon Gengar Edition) for $47.99 at Amazon, and the Razer Gigantus V2 XXL Gaming Mouse Pad (Pokémon Gengar Edition) for $39.99 at Amazon.

PC Gamer Review: 64/100
Play your favorite creature-tamer games on PC with a Gengar-themed Razer Cobra Wired Gaming Mouse, which features Gen-3 Optical switches, an 8500 DPI Optical Sensor, and more
Compliment your Gengar Razer Cobra Gaming Mouse with this lavish Gengar-themed Gaming Mouse Pad with a thick, high-density rubber foam anti-slip Base.
Why buy these accessories?
Now, admittedly, these gadgets aren't exactly topping the charts when compared to the best PC gaming accessories in town, but that doesn't mean they're not worth consideration, as they're fairly well made.
The Razer Kraken V2 Gengar Edition headset offers a decent audio quality with 7.1 Surround Sound, and a HyperClear Cardioid Mic that can convey your voice clearly without picking up too much background noise.
In addition, it features comfortable leatherette/fabric ear cushions, a reactive light system that responds to emotes, alerts, and other notifications while streaming, and, most importantly, it looks so dang cool.
The dark, purple design with sculpting that resembles Gengar's ears and head spikes is totally faithful to the original mischievous Ghost Pokémon's design, with a couple of easter eggs hidden within.
It makes me wish that there was a Razer Kraken Kitty Pro V2 version of this headset with its improved audio quality, because I'd definitely take a premium-grade Gengar headset over a headset with generic cat ears any day of the week.
Moving to the other accessories. The Razer Cobra Gengar Edition is a fairly above-average gaming mouse with reliable responsiveness thanks to its Gen 3 Optical Mouse Switches that boast 0.2ms actuation time, 1000Hz polling rates, and an 8500 DPI Optical Sensor.
It also features customizable RGB lighting, 100% PTFe Mouse feet for smooth surface gliding, and a 90-million click lifecycle to increase its durability.
You can then complement this mouse with the Gengar-themed Razer Gigantus V2 XXL Gaming Mouse Pad. This mousepad features a smooth textured micro-weave cloth surface, a 33m thick rubber foam, and an anti-slip base, all of which help the mouse move more quickly and break for crucial headshot aiming when playing shooters.
So, if you're a long-time Pokémon fan who loved terrorizing rivals using Gengar's classic Hypnosis+Dream Eater combo strategy since the 1990s, this 20% Razer accessory bargain sale is for you.
