Destiny 2 is a popular first-person shooter from Halo creator Bungie. It's getting a massive "Solstice of Heroes" event on August 11 that lasts until September 8. The developer said the following about the famed event's return.

The annual event is coming back next week and is free for all Destiny 2 players. Rise to the challenge with the return of the European Aerial Zone and take on your foes before setting out in search of treasure chests filled with rewards. There's also glowing Legendary armor sets and ways to earn Powerful gear with Solstice Key Fragments. For Guardians collecting Moments of Triumph achievements, two additional achievements will be available to unlock. With access to Bungie Rewards, there will be two new rewards starting next week. Stay tuned for a special purchasable reward along with the Solstice of Heroes music track you can earn for free.
