We're not even two weeks into 2026, and we're already getting a new video game livestream event showing off dozens of new games called the New Game Plus Showcase.

This showcase was created on December 29, 2025, by a group of content creators who vow to put "Genuine Excitement and Conversation" back into video game reveals without making them pay for their placements.

Some of the biggest highlights among the 45 upcoming Xbox and PC games being shown off at the event include:

  • Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy — a turn-based CRPG set in the grim dark universe of Warhammer 40,000, where you investigate dark conspiracies and hunt down heretics as an acolyte of the Inquisition.
  • Crimson Desert — a single-player open-world action-RPG where you travel the land of Pywel to restore your fallen clan, uncover ancient secrets, and battle hordes of monsters with deadly swordplay and brutal wrestling techniques.
  • The Blood of Dawnwalker — a dark open-world action-RPG where you play as a Dawnwalker Vampire and must decide between giving in to your vampiric urges or hanging onto your humanity to save your family.
  • The Expanse: Osiris Reborn — a sci-fi RPG adaptation of the TV show of the same name. You play as a security mercenary who's quickly caught up in a grand conspiracy that could threaten the solar system, and you must gather a loyal crew and a powerful ship to survive.
  • Shadow of the Road — a turn-based CRPG set in an alternative 1800s Japan, where you play as a roaming band of warriors fighting to survive during a war where magic and steampunk technology collide to form unspeakable monstrosities.
  • Atomic Heart 2 — a sequel to the cult hit first-person shooter Atomic Heart, that aims to improve the foundation of its predecessor with more complex RPG systems, a refined combat system, a story with higher stakes, and more bizarre and terrifying robotic machines to fight.
  • The Cube — an MMO spin-off of Atomic Heart, where players will battle horrifying creatures and reality-warping phenomena to uncover the mysteries behind a giant levitating floating cube and see what treasures lie inside.
  • Dinoblade — a soulslike action-RPG where you play as a Spinosaurus travelling the world to prevent the extinction of its kind while battling rival dinosaurs using a colossal Great Sword.
  • Towerborne — an early-access hack and slash where players can form up to 4-player co-op parties and travel the land fighting towering monsters to save Belfry, the last bastion of mankind.
  • Grounded 2 — the hit sequel to the critically-acclaimed survival-adventure game, Grounded. In this game, you are shrunk to the size of a bug, and you must learn how to forage the land for food, craft weapons, build bases, and tame the local wildlife to find a way to return to normal before being eaten by spiders and wasps.
