The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is now available for all players across Xbox, PC and PlayStation. This new version of the classic Bethesda Game Studios title, widely considered one of the best Xbox RPGs available, includes hundreds of pieces of Creation Club content. Existing owners of Skyrim Special Edition get four pieces of this content for free, including fishing and the ability to build aquariums.

Anyone who owns Skyrim Special Edition on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S or PS5 is also getting a free current-generation upgrade for the game, which means faster load times, 60 FPS and more. Existing owners can also upgrade to the rest of the Anniversary Edition content for $20, with $2 off for any Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Skyrim is now 10 years old, having originally launched on Xbox 360, PC and PS3 back on Nov. 11, 2011. During a recent interview, when creative director Todd Howard spoke on Bethesda Game Studios' "passion" for single-player games, he noted that Skyrim is now well above 30 million copies sold, though he didn't offer a new number.

Bethesda Game Studios' next title is the science-fiction RPG Starfield, which is scheduled to arrive on the eleventh anniversary of Skyrim, Nov. 11, 2022. It's coming exclusively to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
