Update: This deal is still good, but if you want a better overall package you can get an Xbox One S with a 1TB hard drive, play-and-charge kit, extra controller, and Forza Horizon 3 for just $270 on eBay today. That's only $20 more than a regular Xbox One S 500GB with all kinds of extra goodies.
Buy the Xbox One S at its normal $249 price and get four digital games free. The $249 price tag is an average street price for this console at the moment, so the real savings comes from the games. The four games are Forza Motorsport 6, Halo 5, Recore, and Ghost Recon Wildlands Gold Edition. Each of these games falls in a different genre so there's a little bit of everything in there, and they're all very good games. Bought separately, these four games add up to a more than $200 value.
The Ghost Recon gold edition is $129 on its own because the Gold Edition includes the Season Pass, giving you access to two expansions added onto the game, and all the content of the Deluxe edition, which has a bunch of small content add-ons.
This is very similar to the bonus game offering we saw on bundles during Prime Day, but the addition of Ghost Recon really makes this offer unique and one of the better deals we've seen.
If you want to play with friends at home, you're going to need an extra Xbox One controller, which is only $39 right now. You might also want the Play-and-Charge kit or just some rechargable batteries so you don't have to worry about your controller running out of juice.
