ASUS gears up with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 special edition hardware

As Call of Duty fans brace to jump into battle with the October 12 launch of Black Ops 4, ASUS has been cooking up some gear that may tempt them to do battle with their wallets as well. The company today debuted a whole slew of Black Ops 4-inspired additions to its hardware lineup, ranging from a prebuilt powerhouse PC to peripherals and more.

Sitting at the top of the lineup is a new variant of the ROG Strix GL12 desktop. The Black Ops 4 Edition, as it's known, is decked out with an orange emblem and accents on the front, along with a Black Ops skull on the side panel. All of that is in addition to the desktop's standard guts, which include Intel's Core i7-8700K liquid-cooled processor and a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card.

Also getting the Black Ops 4 treatment is the 240Hz ROG Swift PG258Q monitor, which has had its signature lighting changed to display the "IIII" logo in orange on your desktop. For the full monty, the ROG Strix Flare keyboard and Gladius II Origin mouse have tweaks of their own, featuring logos galore.

As if that weren't enough Black Ops 4 gear already, ASUS says its fall lineup will include special Black Ops 4 editions of its GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card, a new ROG motherboard, and its ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 gaming router as well.

The entirety of the special edition lineup will roll out gradually throughout the fall, but you can already get your preorder in for the ROG Strix GL12 Black Ops 4 Edition for a pretty hefty $2,600 at ASUS. Of course, Black Ops 4 is up for preorder now as well, starting at $59.99.
