What you need to know

  • F1 2021 is the latest in the long-running F1 series from Codemasters, and is the first in the series published by EA.
  • The game officially launches on July 16, 2021, with 3-day early access available to Digital Deluxe preorders on July 13.
  • Ahead of F1 2021's release, EA has released a brand-new launch trailer to get people hyped for this high-speed racing game.
  • F1 2021 is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation, and will feature enhancements for current-gen consoles.

F1 2021 is coming from EA and Codemasters, and players now only have to wait one week before the game's official release. F1 2020's sequel is the first in the series to be published by EA, which recently acquired F1's developer Codemasters, and is expected to deliver more familiar F1-style racing to fans. Ahead of F1 2021's launch, EA has released a brand-new launch trailer aimed at getting people hyped for what's to come.

You can check out the launch trailer below, and preorder the game if you're interested.

There's currently a car-shaped hole in the racing genre after Dirt 5 and before the much-anticipated arrival of Forza Horizon 5. While the racing genre is surprisingly large and filled with a wide variety of players, F1 2021 may still scratch that itch for a ton of players (on top of catering to long-term F1 fans).

If F1 2021 delivers a high-speed racing experience suited to the powerful current-gen gaming hardware it's arriving on, it could very well reserve its spot as one of the best Xbox racing games you can play. F1 2021 officially releases on July 16, 2021, for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, PS5, and PS4. F1 2021 is the first game in the series to be optimized for current-gen consoles, and does support Xbox Smart Delivery for a seamless upgrade.

The game is already available to preorder. If you preorder the Digital Deluxe Edition of F1 2021, you'll gain three days early access and be able to play on July 13, 2021.
