Phantom Blade Zero (TBA)
Phantom Blade Zero is an upcoming action-RPG set in a bleak world where demonic occultism, Chinese martial arts, and steampunk technology collide. You play as Soul, a deadly assassin working for the secretive organization known as “The Order.” One day, Soul was framed for murdering “The Order’s” patriarch and is quickly chased off by his former comrades.
He almost dies from a grievous injury during the chase but is saved at the last second by a wandering healer. Unfortunately, the cure is only temporary as it will hold back Soul’s death for 66 days. With little time remaining, Soul embarks on a quest for revenge to kill the mastermind behind his master’s murder before his life is snuffed out.
Project Tower (TBA)
Project Tower is a third-person shooter where you taken prisoner by an alien force that has conquered Earth called the Hiks. You imprisoned inside a tower and are forced to become target practice for Hik soldiers getting ready to invade other planets.
To escape this predicament, you will need to escape your cell, grab a weapon and shoot a path to freedom through the Hiks.
Roman Sands RE:Build (TBA)
Roman Sands RE:Build is a strange adventure/RPG/visual novel/horror game developed by Arbitrary Metric and published by Serenity Forge. One day, you wake up to find yourself trapped on a holiday retreat filled with eccentric and crazy people.
In order to find a way back home, you must perform tasks for these characters as refusing is too dangerous an option, and explore the retreat for an emergency exit so you can get out before The Sun arrives to consume you.
Scarlet Deer Inn (TBA)
Scarlet Deer Inn is a platforming-adventure set in a world inspired by Slavic legends. You play as Elise, a mother caring for her two children in a quaint little village. But things are not what they seem as this village hides a dungeon filled with ghastly monsters and dark secrets that best left forgotten.
Sleight of Hand (TBA)
Sleight of Hand is a stealth-action, deckbuilder game where you play as a witch on a quest for revenge to take down her former coven for wronging her. Traverse the corrupt city of Taboo to find your prey, collect magical artifacts and cards to unleash deadly spells that warp reality, and take down enemies quietly using stealth and magic.
Smite 2 (TBA)
Smite 2 is an upcoming MOBA title with third-person combat developed and published by Hi-Rez Studios. This game will improve upon the foundation of the original Smite by reworking all the graphics and gameplay from the ground up in the Unreal 5 Engine, introduce new mythical gods and heroes to play as, and give players new abilities to smite their foes with.
Stellaris Nexus (TBA)
Stellaris Nexus is an upcoming 4X turn-based strategy game developed by Whatboy Games and published by Paradox Interactive. In this game, you choose one of many space-faring factions and venture forth to the far corners of the galaxy to expand your empire's influence and territory.
However, you will be forced to confront opposing factions who don't take kindly to your existence. Will you try gain to their allegiance to form a deadly alliance? Or will you wage war against them to make sure no one threatens the safety of your faction? The choice is yours.
South of Midnight (TBA)
South of Midnight is an upcoming third-person adventure game being developed by Compulsion Games and published by Xbox Games Studios. Set in the American Deep South, you play as Hazel, a young woman who has the power to commune with spirits and the afterlife.
When a supernatural disaster lays waste to your hometown, you are sent on a journey to investigate the cause of this event and expel any evil spirits you find back to the spirit world along the way.
Spirit of the North 2 (TBA)
Spirit of the North 2 is a sequel to Merge Games’ critically acclaimed, Spirit of the North, a third-person action-adventure game where you play as a red fox travelling through mystical lands. In this game, you once again play as a red fox journeying through a ruined world to find its way back home. Along the way, you will become embroiled in a quest to rescue legendary guardian beasts that have been imprisoned by an evil shaman named Grimnir.
The Alters (TBA)
The Alters is a base-building adventure where you play as Jan Dolski, a young man who unfortunately crash landed on a hostile and barren alien world where the sun's rays can kill anything exposed to them. To escape this predicament, Jan uses a mysterious substance called Rapidium to create copies of himself called Alters in the hopes that the extra manpower will help him repair his broken ship.
However, Jan will need to earn the trust of his alternate selves and come face-to-face with his past regrets if he hopes to survive.
The Explorator (TBA)
The Explorator is a first-person adventure game where you play as an explorer traveling to Ospolis island to uncover the long-lost city of Atlantis. However, this expedition will be no walk in the park as all manner of dangerous goblins and monsters inhabit the island and deadly traps have been placed to eliminate the island’s intruders.
The First Berserker: Khazan (TBA)
From the creators of the long-running MMO, Dungeon Fighter Online comes a brand new, brutal action-RPG called The First Berserker: Khazan. You are Khazan, a disgraced war general framed for committing high treason against the Pelos Empire.
With nothing left to lose, Khazan embarks on a bloody quest for vengeance to murder those responsible for his downfall and reclaim his lost honor.
The Outer Worlds 2 (TBA)
In 2021, Obsidian Entertainment announced a sequel to its quirky FPS RPG, The Outer Worlds. Information is currently scarce on this game but we do know that players will be able to explore a new star system and meet a new crew to join their adventures.
Throne & Liberty (TBA)
Throne & Liberty is a free-to-play MMORPG set in the world of Solisium. In this game, players can explore a vast world filled with ancient mysteries, transform into animals to traverse grand environments, and take part in gigantic battles where they will face armies of enemies.
Undead Inc. (TBA)
Undead Inc. is an upcoming business management simulator developed by Rightsized Games and published by Team17. Take control of a subsidiary of Endswell Medical Corporation and use its financial and resources to create technologically advanced medicine to the public and create weaponized viruses in secret and sell in illicit trade deals to rake in the profits.
Should a viral outbreak occur or the local authorities discover your illegal activities, it is up to you to rectify the situation by any means necessary.
Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall (TBA)
Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall is an upcoming kingdom management game with RPG-elements created and published by Brave At Night. You play as the king of a kingdom inspired by Slavic-folklore and it is your duty to help it survive and prosper in a cruel world filled with monsters.
SO much to look forward to
2023 was an incredible year for PC gaming with titles like Baldur Gate’s 3 and Starfield and 2024 is looking to be just as packed. No doubt, Grand Theft Auto 6 is sitting at the top of everyone’s wishlist as it is the first, new mainline Grand Theft Auto title since Grand Theft Auto 5 was first released in 2013.
Considering the series’ legendary pedigree, we will be keeping a close eye on this highly anticipated title and see if it can live up to its predecessors.
