After many years of requests from fans, Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise is going to Japan for its next mainline entry, Assassin's Creed Shadows. This game will be set in late Sengoku-era Japan and will have players assume the role of two protagonists, each with unique gameplay styles and intertwined stories.

These protagonists are Naoe Fujibayashi, a shinobi assassin traveling across to seek vengeance for her massacred village. And Yasuke, a legendary African samurai seeking a new purpose after serving the infamous warlord, Nobunaga Oda.

As Naoe, you will experience Assassin's Creed's traditional stealth-based gameplay as you work to assassinate your foes without being seen. Meanwhile, playing as Yasuke will feel more like an action game as you charge into battle head-on and use your samurai skills to block, parry, and cut enemies down.
