It looks like the deep discounts on the Xbox One for Black Friday have helped it make a big splash during the year's biggest shopping day, as expected. The console was among the top five best selling electronic products during Black Friday, according to Adobe's annual sales report. From Adobe:
The five best selling electronic products on Black Friday were Samsung 4K TVs, Apple iPad Air 2, Microsoft Xbox One, Apple iPad Mini and Sony PS4.
To recap, the Xbox One has seen some steep price cuts from Microsoft and several other retailers for the holiday shopping season, with bundles starting at $299 for the base 500GB model with an extra game, and going up to $349 for bundles with the 1TB console.
As another interesting note, mobile shopping took a record share of online sales this year, with smartphones alone driving 34 percent of sales — up 70 percent over 2014. Tablets saw their share mobile shopping sales dip by 2 percent overall, but overall sales from mobile shopping totaled $583 million on Black Friday and $639 million on Thanksgiving Day. Finally, mobile shopping visits (not sales) exceeded desktop shopping visits for the first time on Thanksgiving Day, driving 57 percent of total visits.
