AT&T Windows Phone launch contest winners!

On Friday, AT&T launched the Nokia Lumia 920, Lumia 820 and HTC 8X Windows Phones.  To celebrate, Windows Phone Central held an impromtu contest where three readers who commented on our launch day post, would be selected at random to win a $50 gift card to the WPCentral Accessory Store.

While over 650 comments were posted and many readers were successful in finding their new AT&T Windows Phone, only three would walk away with the gift cards.

Our lucky winners are aln12483, cdbstl76 and rmichael75!

We've dispatched congratulatory emails to all three and will be generating gift codes shortly.  We'd like to thank the Accessory Store for sponsoring this giveaway and everyone for participating. Stay tuned as we'll have more giveaway contests throughout the Holiday Season.

  • I never win. COME ON!!
  • Congrats to the winners!
  • Ya...
  • Congrats!
  • Likewise to the winners.
  • Ah well, I'm pretty sure my local AT&T store has zero interest in selling me a windows phone anyway, with or without a gift card. They don't even bother with the display.
  • Same
  • LOL, I doubt they even know the now OS is out, or that the 920 is out, still prolly calling it a 900.
  • Just buy one in a store, without contract, and then simply change sim cards
  • ???
  • I was playing around with the 920 in my local ATT store. People were coming in every 10 to 15 minutes to ask if they had any. After being there for about 45 minutes, a guy came in and aksed to see a Lumia. The sales rep started walking aimlessly around the store looking for the 920, I called the guy over and said "It is right here." She followed them over to the display (clearly having no idea it was there). She asked if she could go get another rep to give them more info on the phone, and I jokingly said "It's alright I got this one." The guy looked at me for a second trying to figure out if I worked there or not (I was in my work clothes still. I teach in semi casual attire). I handed him the phone as the young girl went to find someone to tell the poor guy the phone had sold out the 1st 15 minutes the store had opened. I don't know what it takes to get a succesful launch of a phone going, but I feel that either Microsoft, Nokia, or someone dropped the ball on this one.
On a side note, I did over hear a rep telling an older couple the iPhone was the most returned phone the store has, and then suggested an HTC Android (I'm not sure which one, but it def was not the only OneX). A. I bet the iphone is the most returned because it sales more then that HTC ever has. B. Why would you suggest any other HTC phone running Android other then the OneX. I realized I probably know way too much about smart phones.
  • Congratulations
  • Obviously, you spelt my name wrong...:P
  • Congrats to the winners!

  • On that HTC phone of the picture with the article I see a large tile with the time and weather. What app is that? I would really like that.
  • I think that app is from HTC, and comes with the phone.
  • My wife has a titan 2. I should have known that. Ty for the help.
  • It is HTC only. That's all I know. I THINK it is HTC hub.
  • Ty for the help
  • Congrats guys!!
  • Wooooot!! I agree, AT&T sure dropped the ball this time, the reps do not seem enthusiastic at all....
