MSI launched the new Alpha 15 today, which is the first laptop to include AMD's new Radeon RX 5500 series graphics. Aimed at gamers on a budget, the laptop packs in a lot of bells and whistles without breaking the bank.

Inside the MSI Alpha 15, you'll get up to an AMD Ryzen 7 3750H processor, Radeon RX 5500M graphics with 4GB of GDDR6 video memory, and up to 16GB of RAM. The display is a 15.6-inch 1080p panel with support for AMD FreeSync and options for either 144Hz or 120Hz. There's also optional per-key RGB lighting with a SteelSeries-branded keyboard.

MSI is also talking up the audio on the Alpha 15, which includes the company's "Giant Speaker." Essentially, the speaker sits in a speaker chamber that is five times bigger than normal. According to MSI, this allows the speaker to achieve higher volume while retaining solid bass response.

Anyone who buys an Alpha 15 before the end of 2019 will also be able to get Borderlands 3 or Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint for free "while supplies last."

The MSI Alpha 15 is expected to go on sale later in October at $999 with 8GB of RAM or $1,099 with 16GB of RAM.
