WWE and 2K have recently uploaded a double-feature of WWE 2K26's Ringside reports, and they are jam-packed with info.
Previously, we took a look at its new match types and CM Punk Showcase. Today, we're going to look at all the new features coming for WWE 2K 26's MyGM mode, Universe mode, and Creation Suite.
WWE 2K26: MyGM changes
The first Ringside Report from 2K covers MyGM, a game mode where players take on the role of a General Manager and are put in charge of one of WWE's flagship shows. Their goal is to micromanage a show's budget, manage the roster, book matches and rivalries, and more.
WWE 2K26's iteration of MyGM will feature a range of quality-of-life and gameplay improvements, the first of which is making the default season length 50 weeks.
Starting Budget options have been increased based on the following:
- $3M
- $4M
- $5M (Default)
- $6M
- $7M (For players who want more freedom in their GM booking experience)
As a result of the increased budget, players will be able to increase the average size of a roster per show to around 20 to 35 WWE Superstars per brand and provide strategic opportunities to steal their rival show's spotlight.
2K has also increased the toughness of MyGM by adding an "Immortal" setting for game difficulty and AI difficulty for players craving a challenge.

MyGM will also include 10 new match rules, 8 new match types, and 11 new PLEs to book matches in, being able to sort WWE Superstars by Ring Level during the Draft, Intergender Matches, Power Cards for PvP (which can be turned on or off), 3 new playable General Managers, and custom championships for online play.
However, there won't be just small changes to MyGM mode in WWE 2K26; there will also be new major gameplay mechanics, particularly for Promos.
The first of which is Double Booking, which allows players to have a WWE Superstar cut a promo and still be put into a match at the cost of stamina.
The second is Cancelled Promos. If a WWE Superstar gets double-booked in a match and promo, and they happen to get injured before their scheduled promo, the promo will be cancelled.
This will be a handy feature in MyGM Mode as injury times have been increased to compensate for the increased seasonal time limit of 50 weeks, so look after your WWE Superstars carefully.
Finally, we have Invasion Promos. This will allow players to dispatch a WWE Superstar to steal fans from a rival brand, and the number of fans they snatch will depend on the WWE Superstar's promo skills. If the promo's good, you net more fans for your show, but if the promo sucks, you could end up losing fans instead.
Another new gameplay mechanic is the Mid-Season Push, which will allow players to boost the stamina and morale of up to 6 WWE Superstars after 25 weeks.
There will also be new seasonal challenges and adjustments made to pre-existing seasonal challenges. Players can take up to 20 challenges per season, and every five they complete will award them with a Hall of Fame Trophy.
Other new MyGM gameplay additions will include:
- New shake-ups
- New slammies
- New commissioner goals
- New E-mails
- New Power Cards
- New Tweets
- New superstar perks
- Revised logistic unlocks
- Required number of superstars to draft has been slightly increased
- Timer ticking noise at specific intervals has been shortened
- Tuning for all of the above
WWE 2K26: Universe Mode
The Second recently released Ringside Report covers the changes for Universe Mode and the Creations Suite, complete with a trailer narrated by WWE Superstar, Bayley.
First off, we have a look at Universe Mode, a sandbox game mode where players can book matches, shows, and storylines while also taking part in them as if they're creating and living an episode of WWE television.
Universe Mode will now allow players to jump straight into the main menu or customize the playthrough's settings first when beginning a new Classic Mode playthrough via the new Universe Wizard Setup.
In this menu, players can set which weekly shows and PLES will be featured, which WWE Superstars will be on each show, who the champions will be, and which month the calendar will start on.
There's also a new Add New Show option where players can import a downloaded or created show online or build a new show. Players can even customize RAW and SmackDown by altering their rosters, championships, divisions, and more.
Each show will be able to support up to eight championship titles from the men's and women's divisions. They will also include tag team titles, intergender-supported titles, and two Money in the Bank briefcases.
One of WWE 2K26's new features for Universe Mode is the WWE Draft, where WWE Superstars get traded between each weekly show, whether it's RAW, SmackDown, or NXT.
A Draft's rule set, timeslot, and other features can be customized or removed at the player's behest, but do note that you can only draft up to eight WWE Superstars per Universe playthrough.
There will also be several gameplay improvements for this game's iteration of Universe Mode.
The first of which is being able to cash in your Money in the Bank briefcase on any eligible title during any show, whether it's during or after a match.
Promos have also been improved for WWE 2K26's Universe Mode significantly with the following changes:
- Self-Promos: WWE Superstars can announce plans for their immediate future like turning babyface or face, switching divisions, or moving to a different show.
- Call-Out / Interrupt: WWE Superstar challenging an opponent can now choose their match type or challenge for a title, while a champion has the option to accept the challenge at an upcoming PLE.
- Open Challenges: WWE Superstars can now declare Open Challenges where they will spontaneously defend their title.
- Post-Match Interview (New Promo): The winner of a match can have a post-match interview where they can announce changing divisions, announce plans for a 1# contender's match, or declare they're going after a title. The loser of a match can interrupt the winner during the interview to shake their hand, attack them, or intensely stare them down.
Other smaller changes include new matchmaking sliders for match card sorting and scoring, and the option to clear default data on Superstar Relationships, Divisions, Rivalries, and more if a player wants to start from scratch.
WWE 2K26: Creation Suite
The final piece of news updates of WWE 2K26 for this double Ringside Report feature covers the Creations Suite, where players can create their own custom WWE Superstar, entrances, arenas, championships, and more.
First off, players will be given more customization options when creating a WWE Superstar like expanded body-morphing and face-morphing, two-tone hair color blending, and an improved later system.
In WWE 2K26, the head, body, and attire options now draw from separate pools, so you can have 60 layers for attire and 40 for head and body instead of 60 total layers like in previous games. Additionally, there are now over 40 body templates as starting points for customization.
To complement these changes, Create-A-Superstar now has a total of 200 save slots, so you literally create hundreds of original WWE Superstars to face off the real life legends.
The Creation Suite will receive the following updates for several of it systems.
Create-an-Arena will now include LED LED barricades, new announcer table styles, and new customization options for ring mat, aprons, and announcer table covers.
Create-an-Image, will increase its CAI slot limit to 2,000.
Create-a-Championship and Create-a-MITB will have new championship parts and refreshed menu layout.
Create-an-Entrance will feature an advanced timeline feature for all entrance motions, including champion, double champion, MITB, and default motions. This Advanced timeline will also apply for entrance motions for stables,
On top of that, Create-an-Entrance and Victory will now support Quad and Quint-sized stables.
WWE 2K26's features are looking absolutely stacked
After all that, we have finally reached the end of this week's WWE 2K26's Ringside Reports and it's a lot to take in. I admit I haven't had much experience with MyGM and Universe modes but the changes coming to those modes look and sound for fans that enjoy them.
I'm liking the idea of more body-morphing options for Create-a-Superstar so I can create more freakish and bizarre looking wrestlers you'd see out of a wrestling anime like the classic Kinnikuman.
I can't wait to see what else 2K is cooking for WWE 2K26 before it releases on March 13, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Windows and Steam.
Relive the greatest highlights of CM Punk's career, burn your opponents in the new Inferno Match, and embark on new epic journeys to become the next WWE Champion in WWE 2K26.
