Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction is coming to Xbox Game Pass day one. This tactical shooter from Ubisoft is headed to Xbox Game Pass, as well as PC Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming when it launches on Jan. 20, 2022, per Xbox Wire.

Rainbow Six Extraction is the first game developed by Ubisoft to launch day one into Xbox Game Pass. Additionally, Ubisoft confirmed that it is aiming to bring its Ubisoft+ subscription service to Xbox platforms at some point in the future, though no further details were shared at this time.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction began as Rainbow Six Quarantine when it was announced at E3 2019. It's spinoff of the extremely popular shooter Rainbow Six Siege, featuring some of the same characters, known as Operators. The game was then repeatedly delayed before eventually being renamed to Extraction with a January 2022 release window.

Other additions to Xbox Game Pass in January 2022 include Outer Wilds and, for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
