Resident Evil 'Project Resistance' will feature an offline mode
It's like Fable Legends meets Resident Evil.
What you need to know
- Project Resistance is an upcoming Resident Evil team-based game from Capcom.
- It's coming to Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 possibly in 2020.
- It features an offline mode for certain players.
- The title is a multiplayer experience along the lines of Fable Legends.
A few days ago, Capcom revealed Project Resistance, an asymmetrical multiplayer game where one person takes control of a mastermind while everyone else plays as survivors. The mastermind lays out traps and can even control monsters like the infamous Tyrant. The survivors have to solve puzzles, shoot everything in their path, and work together to overcome certain challenges.
Since Project Resistance is a multiplayer game, many old-school Resident Evil fans were worried that you wouldn't be able to take the action offline. Luckily, that doesn't appear to be the case. According to a report by We Got This Covered, producer Masachika Kawata revealed that Project Resistance will, in fact, have a dedicated offline mode. You can read his statement below.
Hopefully, this will satisfy those who were worried about the game. Xbox Insider Program members and Resident Evil Ambassadors will be eligible for a chance to participate in the Project Resistance closed beta on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 soon. The closed beta will run from October 4 to 7.
