An early Black Friday deal from Samsung drops the price of the Samsung QN85A Smart TV down to just $1,100. That's a savings of $500 off its normal price of $1,600. The Samsung QN85A includes several of the premium features seen in the best 4K TVs for the Xbox Series X but at a lower price.

The Samsung QN85A supports many of the features that let you get the best out of modern consoles like the Xbox Series X, including HDMI 2.1 and a 120Hz refresh rate. It's worth noting that the TV only supports HDMI 2.1 on a single port, which is fine if you just have an Xbox Series X but won't be enough if you have two modern consoles. Its display works with several HDR standards, including HLG, HDR10, and HDR10+.

The television also supports eARC on one port, has a pair of USB inputs, and even has an Ethernet socket. The Samsung QN85A can also connect to the best soundbars through its digital optical output connection.

This 4K TV has several specs that help you get the most out of your Xbox Series X. It supports HDMI 2.1, has a 120Hz refresh rate, and supports several HDR standards. It has a compact body and thin profile that makes it easy to mount on a wall or prop up on its stand.

Our colleagues at T3 gave the television a perfect 5/5 rating in their Samsung QN85A review. "The Samsung QN85A brings Mini-LED tech to a real-world price with very few compromises. There are small issues with it, but the sheer image quality you're getting for the price totally wins me over," states Simon Lucas in the review. "The super-sleek design and class-leading smart TV software don't hurt either."

If you're willing to spend a bit more money, the LG C1 is also on sale ahead of Black Friday. It supports HDMI 2.1 on four ports instead of just one. It also supports Dolby Vision, though it doesn't have HDR10+ like the Samsung QN85A.

  • That's about 31.25% off... slightly more than the typical 25% off sales price on electronics that happens to the run upto Christmas. I hope there's better deals than this... need to get a new TV. My current TV is not responive enough to play Halo: Master Chief collection. As it's giving me a headache lol. As it's a slim bezel 59hz lg 42” TV thats almost a decade old. It's a crying shame TVs skipped 1440p as that's what I need lol.
