This week we have no new "AAA" releases on Xbox One, but there are still a few surprises here and there. Notably, Below is finally launching on the console, and Plague Road offers an interesting take on the popular genre. With that in mind, here are all the biggest games launching this week, between December 10 and December 14, 2018.

Below was initially teased close to the original Xbox One reveal, and since then has been delayed numerous times. The game is a top-down roguelike which focuses on exploration and melee combat. You're tasked with cleansing a network of underground areas as you acquire better gear. However, death is permanent and once you're killed, you have to start the game from the beginning.

Below should launch on December 14. The game features Xbox One X enhancements. It will also be available through Xbox Game Pass.

Kingdom: Two Crowns

Kingdom: Two Crowns builds upon the strategy experience of the original. It introduces a new campaign mode and co-op gameplay. Players must now work to build a kingdom that stands over time until you uncover a way to defeat an evil named "Greed." If this was real life, there would be no way to overcome Greed.

Kingdom: Two Crowns should launch on December 11, priced at $19.99. The game features Xbox One X enhancements. It will also be available through Xbox Game Pass.

Doom and Destiny

Doom and Destiny is a turn-based hilarious Japanese role-playing game where you take control of a party of four friends. You'll journey through an unpredictable story filled with parodies and cameos. Start your adventure in a classic dungeon with dragons, save the princess with the help of an elf, and then fly to a manga-themed city with the help of a character that looks like Mario, but for legal reasons probably isn't.

Doom and Destiny should launch on December 12.

Plague Road

Plague Road is a dark fantasy game which requires you to rescue survivors, fight monsters, and explore a once-great city fallen to a plague. The title combines turn-based tactical strategy and roguelike elements. Set around a city being consumed from within, Plague Road tells a story of a lone doctor who once abandoned his home and now returns to learn the fate of those he left behind.

Plague Road should launch on December 14.

Other experiences like Desert Child, Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, Kingmaker: Rise to the Throne, Knights of Pen & Paper 2: Deluxiest Edition, Lazy Galaxy: Rebel Story, and Rally Racers should also release this week.

These are the biggest games launching soon, and many of them seem like absolutely thrilling experiences. Be sure to check out Below and Plague Road because they appear to be the most unique games out of the lot. Which titles are you interested in? Let us know.
