Call of Duty: WWII is an upcoming entry to Activision’s flagship first-person shooter franchise, set to release on November 3, 2017. Visiting an era unexplored by the series since 2008's World at War, the game promises to reintroduce "boots on the ground" gameplay associated with last decade’s acclaimed titles. Both a single-player campaign and competitive multiplayer mode will be on offer, alongside a new social space known as "Headquarters."
Following the US 1st Infantry Division, Call of Duty: WW2 puts players in the shoes of Private Red Daniels – a young recruit thrown into the horrors of the European theater. Both the narrative and gameplay are largely centered around the idea of brotherhood, with mechanics to promote teamwork between AI-controlled allies.
