Killing Floor 2
In Killing Floor 2, a dangerous outbreak of monsters called Zeds has spread across the world, toppling governments and sending civilization into chaos. The biotech firm Horazine (which created the virus) must now fund a group of civilians and mercenaries as they attempt to establish outposts amid the chaos.
In the game's primary Survival mode, teams of up to six players will work together to survive multiple waves of Zeds. Between waves, the team can spend money earned from kills to resupply their armor, grenades, and ammo; as well as buying new and better weapons to help survive the more dangerous weapons.
Killing Floor 2 features a whopping fifteen maps and multiple difficulty levels, so you'll get to exterminate Zeds in a variety of locations. The same variety doesn't apply to bosses, as there are only two at present – but they're so challenging that you can hardly call the boss fights boring. An ultra-tough weekly mode offers cosmetic prizes, and versus mode pits teams of humans and Zeds against each other.
With ten distinct classes to level up, all with unique benefits to the team and selectable skills for customization, Killing Floor 2 is a co-op shooter with real staying power. Check out our previous coverage for more details:
Killing Floor 2 costs $39.99 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and $29.99 on Steam. The physical version is exclusive to GameStop in North America.
